As I enter the classroom I notice that there was a lot of people, and everyone was very shy and not talking at all, when the professor got into the classroom he made the room more relax, by having us stand up and go around and introduce ourselves, this exercise helped a lot specially myself, I found it very entretaining to have the chance to talk to different people about what they do for a living, what is their majors, how long they have been in La guardia. After this excercise we moved on to picking a partner and starting to interview the person, then we had to go in front of the class and introduce our partner, this excercise was lot more difficult as we had to show our personality and something different about us in front of everyone, in my case I'm not a nervous person, but profesor made me realise that I was not looking at my audience while I was talking, this class so far has thought me to be open and be proud of who we are and don't get nervous because is all about taking risks and learning to communicate better with our enviroment.
After doing this excercise we proceed to learning about history of communication, and how this has become the most important way to develop relationships, and how globalization has made this communication to become more abroad and has made the world smaller.So far I'm enjoying this class and looking forward to learning about more, and taking this knowledge to my everyday life at home, work and school.
