SELF DISCLOSURE ASSIGMENT

As the 2nd day of class started, I kept thinking about what I was going to talk in the class, it was challenging trying to put my ideas together in only 3minutes and still try to make some kind of sense, as I was listening to my classmates, I started realizing how much we all had in common, how much we all have struggle, ones more than others, but how we all had for the most part left our birth countries to come start a new life, it seems that even if we are different we still have that kinf of common ground that brings us together.
Some of the stories were really encouraging, it made me want to keep going and get to the finish line, listening to people that have kids and still going to school is amazing, I feel really proud of them for taking such a big challenge and sticking with it.
Another part of the class that was very interesting was about the ways of communicating with each other, the way that sometimes we think we are listening, but at the end we are really just hearing and not paying attention, it made me realise how many times we make the big mistake of just not paying attention to the other person, and how important is to analyze things we want to say before we do it.
So far this class is teaching me on how to become a better communicator, and hopefully by the end of the semester I will be able to master this and apply it to my everyday life.
