Today the self-disclosure is a big, big, big challenge to me. There is no PowerPoint or other supporting material that are allowed to bring with us during the presentation. While I was sitting by the platform and waiting to do the presentation, my heart started beating faster and faster. I couldn’t pay attention to listen to the representative. Only one thing I could do was to talk to myself not to think about the presentation, think about other enjoyable things that I am going to do after the presentation. ~~ It worked that I felt more comfortable sitting on there and hope to do presentation faster. I can’t believe that I can present a presentation without looking a paper or a PowerPoint. It is amazing.

ReplyDeleteI think that almost all of us were able to relate today because we did it with looking at anything or reading a paper. Which I think its great because hopeful we will do our next presentation much better. My heart was also beating very fast doing my self disclosure. Good Job !!!
ReplyDeleteYou might not know I have never spoken this long in a presentation. Even though I talk to a friend in English, it is unusual for me to talk such more once. I agree with you that everyone could fear as speaking in public, but the degree for the fear is very different. I think my fear and nervousness are more than others because I am not good at speaking english.
ReplyDeleteWell let me tell you that you did a great job and your english was good. I really like and understood everything you said. Don't worry we will leave that FEAR to the side next time, it was our first time. That is why we are at this course to learn and became good speaker.

ReplyDeleteThis class is amazing ,first we have to be comfortable with ourselves before anything and i think that is the major lesson of communication and this assignment.We were prepared because who knows more about us then we do yet we felt that we were unprepared because we lacked confidence but when you're next to present that confidence comes from somewhere. Think about it...
