Friday was the first day of classes for me. I was a little hesitant at first about taking a communication class, not that I'm a shy person, I just imagined it being all about speech and presentations. I was happily surprised when at the beginning of the class Prof. Trapani gave us a chance to introduce ourselves to one another by walking around the room and starting a conversation. It made all of us a lot more comfortable and friendly with each other.
The communication tradition is what amazes me most. Who would think communication is 2500 years old and was called rhetoric long time ago. I've learned how important it actually is, and how it prepares us for so many different professions. Our class was seven hours long but not in a million years, I would think it would turn out to be so interesting. I didnt even realize it was time to go home. I'm looking forward to the next class!
