was the first day of HUC 101; originally I wasn't going to take any winter classes, but obviously I changed my mind.
When I came in the classroom I decided to sit in one of the back seats at the very end of the room, trying to avoid any sort of interaction, that too changed. Once we all got up and randomly went up to people it gave my first day jitters some peace and I decided it wouldn't be so bad after all.
My mind had trailed off for a moment and all I heard is Prof. Trapani ask for a four letter word that can't be said, yes I was the one that shouted out "fuck", but in any case that too can be something related to the real four letter word "fear."
After another exercise I found that a couple people and I in the classroom have some things in common, while standing up and talking about my partner though I was looking at everyone I found myself forgetting what I practiced and slightly stuttering.
I truly believe that this "fear" that our professor spoke about will be overcome with this course and some practice, and perhaps in the end we'll all be able to go inside and elevator and not turn to wait for the numbers to reach their indicated floor but address every one with a huge "good morning" and a smile.
