The Second Week.

Today I picked to be # 23 for the disclosure speech because of my old soccer jersey number. Though I was the last one to present I still felt jittery as I sat on the side chair. But I did experience that huge feeling of relief after presenting. As I heard everyone give their speech I was able to relate to other problems others have faced in the passed. I hope that with the group project can unite everyone in a way where they can communicate efficiently when it comes to managing who does what.
I found todays lesson quite interesting, especially the part of how draining listening can become. Most times I'll come home wiped out and its all because of listening to customers needs, and stressing over how to help them the best way as possible. Another thing I found interesting was the way this class relates to interviews; the other day my manager sent me to interview a potential sales associate for our store. After shaking hands I had asked her the same question Prof. Trapani told us about, "tell me about yourself"..by her mumbled response and awkward shifting in her seat I closed up the interview after a couple more questions and simply told her that my manager will give her a call in regards of the position. Lets just say its been a little more than a couple of days and with my report back about her she still hasn't been called. Therefore I believe that perhaps not all the time, but this class can totally take our life's to whole different levels.

  1. Mr. Trapani really does give us useful information about the real world. I really like the story about the man with the coffee stain on his resume. He teaches us how to be unique in the workforce going against the grain can work in your favor now a days because some employers are tired of the same boring traditional employees.
