Starting

Today is snowing day, i'm going to my first day of classes, speech communication, which is consist of different kinds of communication.
At the beginning of the class, all people don't know each other, so we introduce ourselves.
The reason i chose this course because i need to be confident and improve my speaking skill.
Therefore, i don't want to be quiet. In the coming six weeks, i will try to speak as much as i can, even the english is not my first language. As my professor said, many asians are expected to be quiet, but i disagree with that. These asians are quiet because they don't speak well in english, the situation is simlar to if a person who speak english properly move to China, i believe that person will be quiet as well. In fact, they are outspoken, they are enthusiasm and they are talkative...etc...
THE WORLD IS CREATED THROUGH WORDS

During the Fall 1 break, i was disappointed that i can't register for prof. Trapani's course. I was late to realize i need to take speech communication course that requires for my major. I came back from the Tennessee trip before the first day of classes, i tried to register his course, and i got it!

I really like this professor, appreicate his work. I like the way he teachs and we can see how he concerns the student by making up the information and class notes on the blackboard. Also, he is experienced professor who makes the course interesting!!!!

  1. Steven, it is certainly a pleasure to have you in the course again! I understand that sometimes there is a lack of expression because of the language barrier, however, the more we practice the language, the more we acquire it! Keep practicing by expressing yourself regardless of the accent. Your accent is part of your unique identity and that makes every person special! Embrace your accent and COMMUNICATE!!!
